I have a Gigabytes card with their Windforce technology and all my games run under load in the mid-40s to mid-50s max.The card has two fans, both running at about 20% although the second one doesn't always kick in depending on the game. A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to a 2GB GTX960 and the difference is amazing, ESO looks even better with slightly higher settings while Fallout 4 is now played super smoothly on ultra. That was pretty much my experience (but reasonably high settings rather than max) with a 1GB GTX560ti which I also used to run other games like Fallout 4 and Witcher 3 with ok but on medium settings and always with temperatures around 75C.
But this card has an average temperature around 75"C and is not silent. I had the 730 card for quite a while in combination with an i5 and I liked that this card runs pretty "cool" and is not noisy at all.Įdit: My current gaming card is the 760 GTX, which runs ESO at max settings with about 45 fps in busy towns and around 70 fps outdoors. Yeah, I have a Nvidia bias as well - with Nvidia comes PhysX, which makes some games more fun to play, and CUDA technology is by far superior to OpenCL based massively parallel computation.
