(Note: 'Cocked & Re-Loaded' is a Deadline release. The only downside is that Phil's voice was a little out of practice at the time, but he's doing just effing great now. If you're a big fan of 'Cocked & Loaded', check out 'Cocked & RE-Loaded'. I think these guys made this album to attract more girls at the same time, they earned much money, and with this self-confidence they recorded a much much greater real rockin' one: "Hollywood Vampires". The music here is more clean, orderly and a bit softer. More poppy and commercial than the first, but don't misunderstand, this is really pretty good enough. Still though, I dig this album and think it blows away any of the crap GNR put out after Appetite.Favs are: Rip & Tear, Sleazy Come Easy Go, Never Enough, Malaria, Magdalaine, and 17 Crash.these guys also rock live!! Not as Raw as the debut and more commercial as many have already stated. Why anyone gives a shit about that crappy over-rated ballad, I'll never know either. guns follow up the excellent debut album with another great rocker and the outstabding ballad the ballad of jane god why they never got much success ill never know It should also be noted that this cd's analog recording sound is in DESPERATE need of a remastering, and someone at the label is better off doing something about this sooner rather than later. Personally, I enjoy 'Waking The Dead' a great deal more.

'Cocked & Loaded' is chalk full of great rockers including a good (but VERY over-rated) ballad.

Guns, after a sleazy hard rockin' bar rock debut, go commercial! Tom Werman being hired to produce the album has much to do with this, of course. not one bad song on this album, Everything about this album is awesome. If you like sleazeglam music, this is a must have. This is a glam classic, these guys rock, seen them live a few times with the original lineup, and the played a lot of old material. If you like the good old American hard/street rock, get this album And a lot of awesome songs: "Rip N Tear", "Sleazy Come Easy Go", "Never Enough", "Showdown", "The Ballad Of Jayne", "Wheels Of Fire". This one has to be a masterpiece: in my humble opinion in has the essence of that great sounding hard rock style of the late '80s. A little bit repetitive though, and the vocals seem a tad weak. Some fun, raw songs and one of the best ballads ever. Do not waste your money on the reissue of this album! The Ballad of Jayne never appealed to me. MTV and LA GUNS, alot of memories.Ĭlearly their best CD, and they had many other good ones to choose from. Easy to remember songs with outstanding playing. This was a good comeback they finnally got air time with hits-rip and tear-never enough and of course ballad of jayne waws enough they later re-recorded it later on with different singer i give it a 8/10Ī great follow up to their first release. There are other cool tracks: 17 crash, Showdown or Wheels of fire but they tried to be closer to the MTV-appeal and I still prefer the debut 'cause it's fucking raw.Anyway: 8.0 Sleazy Come Easy Go Rating: 8.0Ĭocked & Loaded is not good as the first album but it's a cool record: Rip and Tear is THE L.A.

A rawer sound and a trimming of the tracks could have made this a classic along the lines of G'N'R's Appetite For Destruction. This CD KICKS ASS even though it's too polished and too long. I Wish I could get my hands on their first album! great hard rock album this is la guns best albumĮxecellent band, cheak out the song "Showdown (Riot On Sunset)". Long as they are at least 4 songs in length.Įxisting comments about this CD From: jonnathan Please only submit officialĬD releases no bootlegs or cassette-only or LP-only releases.ĮPs and CD-singles from L.A.
